Air is being blown through the air return ducts!

The installation manual reads like a missile launch checklist, and this guy has been scratching his head for two hours. Weekends are not the right time to do this. No support line open

The thermostat was working fine. There was no red light on whatsoever and I was pretty sure it was getting power as it was wired to the attic light switch and that was working fine. After looking around on the web, and not really finding anything that I hadn’t tried and not that much on “no light at all” other than a “power issue”, I noticed that little tiny fuse (a 3 amp) on the circuit board. I turned the power (the furnace has a “light switch” as well) off and pulled the fuse. It appeared sketchy looking, but I wasn’t totally convinced it was bad. Went to three places and finally called a “specialty” hardware store in the area and asked if they had a 3 amp. They did. Picked it up for the outrageous price of $1.50. Actually I got an extra to tape on the furnace just in case, so it was $3.00! Put the new fuse in, replaced the cover plate on the furnace (as it engages a “switch”), turned on the power and voila! For one dollar and fifty cents, I was in business. Hope this saves somebody some $$$$. dg

It will not ignite or give any flame/heat. Could ya give me an idea on what could be wrong.
Thank You,
Paul

What does that mean and do I need to call a service rep? I noticed this just after a PGE rep inspected my unit and reported that everything is working fine.

Everything has been fine except for the past few weeks. I come home in the morning and it has an alert that the thermostat has been calling for heat but the furnace isn’t kicking on. I can turn off the HVAC system for several minutes and start it up and it works fine for anywhere from an hour to all day.the next morning it is the same. I have replaced the filter, and it needed one. However today with a clean filter it did the same thing. Again I turned it off for a few minutes and turned it back on and it seems to be working fine for now…. But without fail it will happen again….
Any feedback is much appreciated

My system tried to light three times before going into lockout (2 blinks). The vent fan ran and the ignitor lit pretty bright. Unsure of the cause I did a good dust-and-vacuum (probably not the cause, but it needed it) and then gave every connector and the fuse an on-and-off, or at least a wiggle. I then cycled the power four times in 30s (as I read elsewhere can reset it). It worked the first time after that. Will keep my eyes on it, but so far, so good.

I have a trane XE80. There is call for heat (fast continues red flash). The burner comes on for a may be 3 secs but then is cut of immediately. I have tried replacing the flame sensor (as cleaning the old one did not fix the problem) with no luck. Could you please suggest me the next step in troubleshooting this?

Blower will not come on for fan only or cooling with air conditioner.
